What is Bruce Willis diagnosis?

Bruce Willis' family provided an update on the actor's health on Thursday,

Announcing that his condition has progressed and he has been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia.

"Since announcing Bruce's aphasia diagnosis in the spring of 2022,

Bruce's condition has evolved, resulting in a more accurate diagnosis.

Frontotemporal dementia," his family said in a statement.

"Unfortunately, the communication problem is just a symptom of the disease Bruce is facing.

It's painful, but it's a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis.

The news comes after his family said Willis would retire from acting for health reasons in March 2022.

Although frontotemporal dementia is a brain disease, it is different from Alzheimer's disease.

According to the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration, it's less common and lesser known.
