When it came time to kickstart Super Bowl 2023 on Sunday (Feb. 12), country superstar Chris Stapleton was more than up to the task.

While the focus is football, the annual showpiece is a highlight of the entertainment calendar

And this year will feature a performance by Rihanna in the Apple Music halftime show.

Country star Chris Stapleton will also open the game by performing the national anthem.

Super Bowl 2023: Rihanna, Chris Stapleton, Sheryl Lee Ralph headline Sunday's Super Bowl performances.

The halftime is usually about 20 minutes, so the performance should be roughly 10 songs, some truncated and remixed.

Rihanna opened the show with a rousing rendition of her hit song, “Bitch Better Have My Money”

And then pumped up the crowd with her dance hits “Where Have You Been” and “Only Girl (In The World).”

She kept the energy up with new arrangements of “We Found Love” and “Rude Boy.”
